My Story

More than 10.000 Flight hours, 75+ Graduates, 94% Pass Rates

Flying is his passion. It all started with a book his brother had about launching the Apollo rockets to the moon. But that was a bit too ambitious. In 1989, he took the first steps of a career as a Professional Pilot. In that year, Mark started gliding with the Royal Netherlands Air Force from Soesterberg Air Force Base. Full-time pilot training was too expensive, but he did not give up on his dream. During the day, he worked as a Croupier for Holland Casino and all the free evenings he was in the classroom at the NLS (National Aviation School). From 1993, Mark spends all vacations in the USA to gather his licenses. In early 2001 he had established a European ‘Frozen ATPL’, FAA Commercial and Flight Instructor privileges (CFI, CFII, MEII).

My name is Mark van Niftrik. I started flying Cirrus in 2001, and to this day it plays a central role in my life. “A Cirrus life.” As a Platinum CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot) for all Cirrus cockpit models (G1–G7+), I have trained dozens of people and gained a wealth of experience!

The constant innovation makes Cirrus the leader in the Industry for more than three decades!

I’d be happy to help you learn to fly the Cirrus, and if you’ve just bought a new Cirrus, Cirrus will cover the cost of a retraining course through “EMBARK”!!

Independent advise will help you find the Cirrus that best fits your needs! I’ll guide you on what to expect, what’s involved, the do’s and don’ts, and pitfalls to avoid. It’s a small investment for a lifetime of enjoyment flying Cirrus!

These days, you can take a short flight in the simulator before actually flying the Cirrus. That way, we can keep flying even in bad weather!

Obtaining an FAA/EASA instrument rating is undoubtedly one of the most important goals. Sign up here for the Course or Training program.

One of the most wanted planes

Flying a Cirrus is joy. There is no better way to explore the sky with a friend, children even with your wife. It’s an familything.
